Hotel Albamanjon

The Hotel Albamanjon is located in the midst of a natural setting, by one of the Ruidera Lagoons in a curious building, taking advantage of old crop terraces which were used to create a somewhat level area on the steep slope of the limestone walls by the San Pedro Lagoon.

Of particular interest is a Mancha windmill which stands at one corner of the hotel. Like the rest of the building, the windmill offers an enviable view of the lagoon and has been converted into a suite.

The façade is typical of La Mancha and is whitewashed with ceramic inlays which recreate hunting scenes.

More striking are the colours of the balustrades which, covered with a different type of tile, preside over the railings of the large windows of the café, dining room, terrace and stairs.

The rooms rise in tiers up the mountainside and offer splendid views; they have a bathroom, telephone, television, hairdryer, air-conditioning, heating, an individual terrace, and a wood-burning heater or fireplace. Rooms called “La Manchega” (set in the rock), “El Celemín”, and “La del Cerro” have magnificent views of the lagoon and the cosy wooden studios called “La Aldaba” and “La Rochafrida” have a hydro-massage bath.
