Hotel Palacio Eugenia de Montijo
This Renaissance building that was the Palace of Empress Eugenia de Montijo, the wife of Napoleon the III, is the home to a 40-room Boutique Hotel. The palace was rebuilt under the watchful eyes of architects, archaeologists and specialist restorers, and here you may admire ruins such as the Roman drainage system, Arab walls from the 14th century, 16th century walls, caisson ceilings from the 14th and 16th centuries, decorated with the coats of arms of the main families from Toledo in the period.
