The Dwelling of Juan de Vargas Country House Lodge, is a 16th century house that was refurbished with care to offer guests the authenticity and quality they deserve. It is located right in the historical centre of Villanueva de los Infantes, the birthplace of Don Quixote and the last place where the author Francisco de Quevedo lived. It is situated in the High Street, next to the monumental Plaza Mayor.

The original structure of the house was respected during refurbishment. Some elements which had been hidden were also brought into the open, such as the rainwater tank, and the well or the columns in the old patio. The panelling and old floorboards were also restored.
The lodge has six double rooms, three standard rooms and three high-quality rooms, each of them with their own personality, features, and all mod coms: safety deposit box, mini-bar, television, Internet access, bathroom set and hairdryer, and common rooms intended to be a place for relaxation, peace and quiet and enjoyment.
This premises is a charming hotel, with all the flavour and personality of a country house. From its balconies, you can see the beautiful harmony of the architectural complex surrounding the Plaza Mayor, governed by the impressive sobriety of the Iglesia de San Andrés (Church of Saint Andrew).
