At the end of October in the Temple of San Juan, they also hold a Medieval Music Concert that has been organised by the Tourist-Cultural Association "Arcipreste de Hita" since 1999, in which the music harmonises beautifully with the setting.

Road transport

The main event of the Hita Medieval Theatre Festivalis a theatrical performance that takes place at nightfall in the Plaza Mayor. Another outstanding event is the Medieval Tournament that is held in the Palenque de la Villa, where the horsemen compete, displaying their skills with lances, canes, rings and jousting exercises.

The ambience, the street performances, the period costumes, the street market, the music, the dinner and the communal teas complete a festive and cultural day in which jugglers, jokers, knights, witches, romances, acrobats, etc. all play their part.

This festival does not just transform the day to day space. It is a temporal transformation, which tells of something special, and playful, in which the visitor is transported into the past, and the recreations, which obviously require a lot of effort, are ephemeral, as it barely lasts a single day.
