The Plaza Mayor was a marketplace until 1967. It is a space of great artistic interest, with two distinct areas in terms of building styles and period.

The East side and the Town Hall are from the 16th Century (The Master Architects Luís de Béjar and Cristóbal Días were commissioned in 1530), and have post and lintel porches.

The West and North sides, have two stories of asymmetric openings over arched porches. One of these arches creates a small low vaulted ceiling with lunettes decorating its inner surfaces.

It is similar to the Plaza Mayor de Ocaña. (photos: Ayuntamiento de La Solana)
