The Mining Museum offers an interactive tour that tells of the lives of miners in the region through dioramas, graphic panels and different audio-visual effects that bring together the original artefacts and the recreation of historical spaces such as the infirmary or the Sala de Forzados.

The museum is divided into two sections : the Hospital, and Society. The Mining Hospital , located on the ground floor, shows the history of this hospital, considered one of the best in the world for treating the illnesses characteristic of mining (principally hydrargyrosis or mercury poisoning), which already, in the 18th century, had professional specialists and curative treatments such as a sauna and the beach.

Our visit continues through the Gardens, from where we can access the Cells where sick prisoners working in the mines were treated.

On the top floor we find the section dedicated to Mining Society, where we discover how mining families lived through images that testify to daily lives, customs, festivals and social relations, etc.
