Created in 1976, all the monumental archaeological discoveries from the province, from the Lower- and Middle-Palaeolithic, Neolithic, Calcolithic, Bronze Age, Iberian Era, Roman Era and middle ages, are collected at the Ciudad Real Provincial Museum.

In the Fine Arts Section, temporary exhibitions are organised and a good collection of 19th and 20th century paintings is kept, with works by Gregorio Prieto, Guijarro, López García, Ángel Andrade and Carlos Vázquez, among others, as well as a display of more recent paintings and new tendencies.

Don Eduardo Tello, Don Estanislao Oliver and Don Ramón de la Torre’s special collections are also displayed.
