How to get there

Road transport

The Wine Museum is located in the old Leocadio Morales Bodega, built in 1901, which operated until the 1970s. The property is arranged around a large central patio, with a well and lateral arcades where two Collections are exhibited: one of Frame Implements and Carriages; and another of Viticultural Machinery. The latter continues indoors, with machines related to the winemaking process, such as wooden treaders and presses, manual presses, manual pumps for decanting, copper filters, etc.

Illustrated panels tell the story of the Valdepeñas Designation of Origin and the secrets of wine-making, as well as culture and folklore associated with wine.

It is also possible to visit perfectly preserved parts of the old bodega, such as the unloading dock, the weighing machine, the copperware, the winepress, the “chilanco” (puddle), the cellar with its celebrated earthenware wine vats, and the Bodega de Tinajas, where you can see an exhibition about the grape harvest and the Collection of Photographs taken by Harry Gordon during the 1959 campaign.
