San Gil Museum of Sacred Art
The San Gil Museum in the medieval village of Atienza merits a visit as much for the building itself as for the works in the exhibition. It is a Romanesque Church with three naves, a magnificent coffered ceiling in the central nave and a semicircular apse. This museum is noted for its paintings, sculptures, precious metalwork, archaeology, minerals, fossils and heraldry.
