Bodegas y Viñedos Sánchez Muliterno
In 1984, the first vines were planted on an estate named Finca El Guijoso in the town of El Bonillo in the Province of Albacete. The aim was to grow high-quality grapes to create great wines. The managing director, Juan Sánchez-Muliterno García, affirms that the bodega is “equipped with modern facilities to ferment a limited amount of wine with the highest guarantees of quality” with an annual production of some 200,000 bottles.

The Sánchez Muliterno wine company also stands out as it has received exclusive recognition with a special “Estate” Designation of Origin, the Denominación de Origen Pago Guijoso, and also because it produces “healthy” wines by not using pesticides in the vineyard, and because it creates wines with great personality by using selected native yeasts for the fermentation process, making it a unique “terroir”.
This commitment to excellence is also applied to other activities carried out on the estate. Of the nigh-on 3,000 hectares on the estate, half are set aside for agriculture and the rest is scrub and woodland with unique holm oak and savin tree woods, an ideal habitat for game. In addition to the vineyards and the bodega (winery), the estate has facilities for livestock, olive trees as well as houses with between two and five bedrooms in which visitors can stay. There is also a hunting pavilion in which company conferences and wine-tastings can be held.
