Bodegas Olcaviana
The bodega (winery) is located in the far east of La Mancha, near La Roda, on the road to Santa Marta, in an area with a wine-growing tradition dating back to Roman times. The new La Mancha-style building together with the bodega’s modern machinery and equipment unite the tradition of the region with new technologies.

They began in 1994 with Cabernet Sauvignon using trellises and now grow Syrah, Tempranillo, Petit Verdot, Merlot, Chardonnay, Viognier, small Moscatel grapes and Gewürztraminer. And as proof of their wholehearted commitment to innovation they are trying out the Albariño and Vermentino varieties in the area. The types of wines which have produced in the first few years are as follows: young wines which bear the characteristics of the grapes they are made from; and crianza wines (a more mature quality wine) for which the idea is to maintain the characteristics of the grape and complement these with oak.
They are now taking a step further by opening up their facilities for tourism activities related to wine with the aim of promoting and supporting wine-growing culture in the area.
