Bodegas Bonjorne

In an excellent location in the middle of the La Mancha plain is Minaya, a stopping place on the road between Andalusia and the east coast of Spain. To the south of the town, virtually on the boundary with La Roda, we find the Bonjorne estate in a nature spot typical of La Mancha.

On this estate, where pines and holm oak trees also grow, there are 68 hectares of vineyards, and right in the centre is a building which houses the bodega (winery). Founded by the Escribano family, which has been linked with wine-growing for generations producing quality wines from its own vineyards, Bodegas Bonjorne stands out for its sober La Mancha-style architecture which it combines with the latest technology to process the fruit of its vines, modern grape-picking systems and selection, cold maceration and bottling systems.

In the vineyard native grapes such as Tempranillo and Airén are grown as well as well-recognised foreign ones such as Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Syrah. The wines produced are marketed under the names Bonjorne, Altos del Majanar and Cillero and fall under the Vinos de la Tierra de Castilla Designation of Origin.
