The family-run Bodega Dionisos is located in Valdepeñas, the "city of wine”, in a typical 18th-century La Mancha-style house which houses both the bodega or winery and the home in an estate of 30 hectares where the vineyards are grown organically, respectful of cosmic rhythms, in accordance with old traditions which have now been rediscovered and studied.

Location

On the plain before you reach Valdepeñas, by the A-4 motorway which connects Madrid and Andalusia, on the 30-hectare “El Conuco” estate.

How to get there: Road transport

The vines are grown using a traditional technique which is the most suitable one for dry climate conditions. The use of natural fertilisers and the lack of artificial chemicals in the protection of the vineyard contribute to the production of balanced fruit which clearly expresses the characteristics of the grape varieties and the qualities of the soil.

The estate is also the location of a rural house called La Venta de las Estrellas, a welcoming place which is decorated in warm colours and can accommodate 24 people. It also has a restaurant in which guests can try regional cuisine, and rooms for meetings and celebrations.

Other fun activities at the bodega include events such as the “Entrecopas Weekend”, the “Day of the Harvest”, the “Dionysus Conference” and a participative one for you to “Come and Make Your Wine with Us”.
