Vitis Natura. Ecological Wines and Vineyards.
This bodega or winery is located in an area of vineyards par excellence, in Quintanar del Rey in the south of the Province of Cuenca. The people behind the Vitis Natura project are a married couple called Conchi y Antonio who have inherited a wine-making tradition dating back over 60 years. Having always been concerned about environmental protection and healthy living, they have decided to start out along the path towards gaining organic certification for their wines.

They combine their conviction for organic methods with concrete wine-growing practices, such as low production, green harvesting, manual harvesting and unloading into 15kg boxes, in order to obtain quality wines. This is all aimed at selecting the best fruit.
“We want our wine to be unique, to be different whilst maintaining its personality through the characteristics of the mixture of grape varieties used. We do the blending in the field, using quantities and grape varieties which, thanks to their qualities and characteristics, and having been grown in proportions we consider appropriate, give the wine what we are looking for,” they say. The wine they produce is a mixture of six grape varieties: Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Syrah, Merlot, Petit Verdot and the native Bobal grape, guaranteeing the customer a product which is not only healthy, but also pleasant.
