Bodegas Martúe La Guardia
An idea: convert the region of La Guardia in the Province of Toledo into a first-rate wine-producing area. A wine-grower: Fausto González. Bodegas Martúe La Guardia is the fruit of their coming-together. It was founded in the year 2000 and its main shareholders are the González-Borrego family, who have been vineyard owners in this location for many years.

They use grapes which come exclusively from the 87 hectares of vineyards planted on two estates which they own: Campo Martuela, the first plot of land on which they began to plant Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Syrah, Tempranillo and Petit Verdot; and El Casar, where in addition to the grape varieties mentioned above, they grow the new Malbec and the white Chardonnay.
A highlight among their wines is Martúe Especial, the pride of the bodega, which is produced using the oldest Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Syrah vineyards and is aged for twelve months in French and American oak.
Yet Martúe is more than just a bodega. It has a wine-tasting room equipped with all the technology needed for meetings and a restaurant service of the quality found throughout the bodega.
