Almansa Wine
Type of Denomination of Origin
Wine.
Region
Almansa, Alpera, Bonete, Corral Rubio, Higueruela, Hoya Gonzalo, Petrola and the hamlet of El Villar de Chinchilla, all of them within the province of Albacete.

Vine-growing on the outskirts of Almansa probably dates from the XVI Century and has been carried out ever since then. This wine growing region, at 700m above sea level, is the most easterly point of Castile La Mancha and is closer to the wine growing districts of Levante than to the regions of Valdepeñas and La Mancha.

The wines with the "Almansa" Guarantee of Origin are characterised by a strong aroma and taste. The preparation of these wines is carried out using controlled fermentation temperatures to obtain high quality wine destined to be Aged and Vintage wines.

The marketed products are: Aged red wines, vintage red wines, white wines, young, fruity rosés and wines of the Garnacha Tintorera variety with a very full colour.
