Type of Denomination of Origin
Méntrida.

The Garnacha red variety dominates here, which occupies more than 80% of vineyards and which has traditionally been grown in the area, meaning that currently most of the vines are old and with a low production rate, leading to grapes of very high quality, from which some excellent rosé wines are obtained with fruity aromas, pleasant colours and excellent palates, and young reds full of personality, being rich in tannins and colouring ingredients.

The rest of the land is occupied by other red varieties included in the new Regulating Council’s Regulations, such as Cencibel, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Syrah, as well as a small number of white varieties (Albillo, Macabeo, Chardonnay and Sauvignon Blanc) whose results are exceptional.
