Situated upon the banks of the river of the same name and dominated by the imposing rocky bulk of the Padrastro, the Village of Bogarra is located within one of the loveliest areas of the Segura Mountain Range.
Its fertile lowland, full of fruit trees, and its steep, ancient streets, preserve the mountain character of these lands and beckon the visitor to take a peaceful stroll around them.
This town began as an Iberian settlement in the 5th century B.C. and the Haches Sphinx survives as a modern-day witness of this origin.
