- How to get there
- Road transport
In the 16th century the village of Letur was already considered to be, as described in King Philip II's topographic reports, a “refreshing town, delightful, cheerful with abundant water and fresh air, ivies, clematis vitalba and brambles and many more that are not fruit-bearing”.
In the historic quarter we find a medieval Arabic layout, composed of narrow streets. In the building façades we can appreciate the stone arches that form the famous “portalicos” (“little doorways”). The streets and alleys are centred around the Plaza Mayor where the Santa María de la Asunción's Church (considered a National Monument) is located.
Water flows through every corner of Letur; close to the Plaza Mayor we can find a real treasure: a natural pool. En Letur water is seen and heard everywhere.
