How to get there
Road transport

Four hundred years ago, its name was Villaverde de Ambas Aguas, a name it acquired from the two rivers that are found in this municipality, one sweet-water river and the other with coarse, salty water.

In the location of Villaverde we find a Karst geological formation with a surface of around 602 km and at 1,600 metres above sea level, an area full of sinkholes and mantles that provide a filter for rainwater and the snowfall in the area, pouring them into the jet cave, where the Source of the River Mundo is located, in a waterfall over 200m high. This is an exceptional site to enjoy nature.

The wealth of the landscapes of this municipality make it one of the most interesting places for nature lovers, that can stroll in areas full of brooks and streams in the village, such as the Arroyo de Fuente del Tejo, or climb the La Sagra and El Padrón Peaks, where one can enjoy a view over the entire Guadalimar Valley.

Special trips in Villaverde de Guadalimar
Calar del río Mundo y la Sima Nature Reserve and the Route of Pernales, the last bandit.
