- How to get there
- Road transport
Yeste is tucked between the Segura, Tus and Taibilla Rivers, among canyons made up of uneven walls in a mountainous landscape rising as much as 1,898 metres into the sky in the Calar del Río Mundo y La Sima Nature Reserve.
In these lands many different and important cultures have left their legacies; the remains of prehistoric, Roman and Islamic societies have been unearthed, among others. Its castle was an important enclave of the Order of Santiago.
One of its more notable attributes is the wide variety of flora and fauna to be found there, due to the Mediterranean climate and the large amounts of rainfall in some of areas of the region.
You will never get bored in Yeste because, along with all of the possibilities that Nature offers, you can enjoy the Medieval Market, the running of the bulls, the paragliding and motorcycle festivals and the Yeste Rock Concert.
