Almadén
Almaden is located in the southwest of the province of Almaden is located 105km away from the city of Ciudad Real, 125km from Cordoba, 200km from Toledo, 250km from Badajoz, and 313km from Madrid. Nature was very generous with Almaden when it bestowed it with the largest mercury deposit known to date. It is estimated that Almaden has produced approximately one third of the mercury consumed by mankind, having extracted from the mine around seven and a half million flasks.

The Mine Park of Almaden is a cultural, educational and tourist place where visitors can enjoy the magnificent scientific, industrial and technological heritage of some of the oldest ruins in the world.
The Bullring de Almaden is the only hexagonal bullring in the world, declared a Historic and Artistic Monument. It is currently a quaint hotel.
