This village of noble ancestry is in the centre of the county known since the Middle Ages as El Campo, which is also famous for its cereal crops.
On the side of the N-400 road crossing the village, we find the Nativity Church, one of the most notable churches in the province; built during the 15th to 16th century the beautiful front can be highlighted. The front was built using an Elizabethan Gothic arch with another splayed arch inside it. Both arches are profusely decorated with Baroque artistic motifs.
To one side, we find the grandiose tower domineering the surrounding landscape. The building has gained recognition as a national monument. The rest of the urban complex is still interested, in spite of a process of modernisation.
