- Road transport
The municipal area has a fairly regular outline, and the village is situated more or less at its centre. However, the geography of the mountains shows contrasts between two areas. On the one hand, the western area forms a plateau with the high Matallana plateau, where the highest point in the area, "Los Tres Mojones" at 916m, can be found. On the other hand, the eastern area is an extension of the Mira mountain range, where the land is very uneven as a result of erosion and the channel cut out by the River Cabriel, a leading character in the local landscape. The most spectacular spots are El Perejil and Salto de Pajazo, where the River Cabriel has cut out deep canyons and gorges of undoubted natural beauty. There are many springs, of which “La Fuente” and “La Olmedilla” are particularly worthy of mention. The the Salada spring, a saltwater spring near an old rock salt mine, should also be highlighted.
