Mariana is where the transition to Romanic Art started.

The San Pedro Parish Church, built in the 13th century, belongs to the group of temples built in the times of Christian repopulation at the end of the 12th century. The church preserves its original Romanic structure. It is a single-nave church with a semicircular apse. The gable is at its feet and there are two opposing fronts, one on the south wall and one on the north wall.

Special trips in Mariana
- Festivities to honour the ”Santísimo Cristo de la Salud” (September 14 to 18)
- Potato Festival (third weekend in October).
