How to get there
Road transport

Although the town is an old settlement, there are few remains of its past as it has been altered because of modern needs which have above all arisen out of its strategic position on the N-III road and out of its nature as an administrative and judicial centre for the region. It stands out for its commercial and farming activity.
Nearby is a signal tower, a square tower with an sloping base and two floors. On the Carretera de Campillo road stands the chapel of Nuestra Señora de la Concepción (Our Lady of the Conception), the patron saint, which dates from the 16th and 17th centuries. It is of a simple design and has decorative grotesques on pilasters and pendentives in the crossing. A highlight in the town is the two-floor, 17th-century Casa de los Luján (Luján House) which was built between party walls and has railings of extraordinary quality. In particular, there is the 16th-century Parish Church of San Gil which has three naves and is divided into four separate openings by columns and an interlaced vault with geometrical decoration in the chancel. There is a three-sided bell-tower built onto the end of the church which also has two Renaissance façades.
