In the village, there is a complex of magnificent buildings, among which we can highlight the Town Council, various noble houses and, above all, the collegiate church.

The Renaissance purity 15th to 16th centuries, and its landscape value, due to its domineering position on a hill on the riverbanks and near the Haro Lagoons, underscore the value of what used to be the Haro Castle. The building has a square plan, with cubes at each corner, and only the two walls connecting the corners are still standing. There are also remains of a second walled enclosure, that also has circular towers at the angles

The Master of Santiago, Don Fadrique, granted the site the privilege of village and charter of Cuenca in 1347. The village was continuously benefited by the Crown for the services it rendered to the cause of the Monarchy and the constant faithfulness to the Catholic Monarchs
