The name "Olalla" apparently is from the Arabic word "walaya", which means fertile valley. As the village is located in the Valley of the River San Martín it is easy to imagine why it was called the "Villar de la Vega" (Walaya Village - Olalla Village).
The Rivers San Martín and Júcar trace their routes through the village, discovering magnificent landscapes as they pass through the village. One of these sites is the place known as Puente Palmero, a site located 7km away from the village next to the River Júcar, populated with cotton trees, willows and some shrubs.
As one ascends the river from the right, one can see rocks that form a small ravine. On the left bank, as we leave the river and climb up a small hill, we find interesting views over the site.
