Horche enjoyed a time of development in the 16th, 17th and 18th centuries. Its urban layout in those centuries has been preserved to this day. Hundred-year-old doors, forged gates, rustic wooden columns crowned with shoe-shaped capitals in arcades can be seen in the town’s streets.

Streets with arcades and the Town Hall together with the Plaza Mayor (Main Square), in which the town hall stands, are clear examples of the architecture of Castile and La Alcarria. The main façade of the 19th-century Town Hall has low arcades and a long balcony. This type of house can be found in the town districts of Albaicín and Las Flores.
