Author Camilo José Cela described Sacedón as a place:
“surrounded by green corn fields. It appears to be an important and industrious village." The dwellings span a pretty large area and the church tower emerges gracefully among the houses.”
Monuments belonging to the religious heritage in the village are: The Virgen de la Asunción Church (17th Century), with a beautiful front; the Santa Cara de Dios Hermitage, with its Baroque style; and the Virgen del Socorro Hermitage. In addition, you will also discover the beautiful sites surrounding the village.
The scenery to be viewed at the Entrepeñas Reservoir, known as the Sea of Castile, is a highlight, as well as the recreational areas and beaches on the stretch of 50km of coast along the reservoir. All kinds of water sports can be practices here (sailing, canoeing, etc.) and well as fishing (pikes, carps, etc.).
