The greatest attraction Carranque has to offer is its Archaeology Park, one of the five parks in the Castilla-La Mancha Archaeology Park Network. Its Nymphaeum, Villa, Basilica, the Interpretation Centre and an extensive range of extra activities for both children and adults, make the Archaeology Park one of the most important findings in the late Roman period in all Europe.
In addition, we must not forget the beauty of the landscapes alongside the River Guadarrama on the section of its course going through Carranque, and the riverbeds where wind mills were built in times past, a few of which are still standing.
The Santa María Magdalena Parrochial Church and the town’s Council Building are the most relevant religious and civil buildings, respectively, in the urbanised area of Carranque.
