- Road transport
Just 7km from Toledo, Cobisa is now chosen by people from Toledo as a place to live close to the city whilst being able to enjoy the pleasures and well-being of small villages.
It appears that Cobisa has existed since 1175 and today its most representative building is the Parish Church of San Felipe y Santiago Apóstol (St. Phillip and St. James the Apostle) which was thoroughly refurbished in 1942. In the outskirts of the town on a private estate stands the belfry and remains of an 18th-century convent.
The town is surrounded by olive groves where the inhabitants of Cobisa pay homage every year to their patron, Nuestra Señora de las Angustias (Our Lady of Anguish), on the last weekend in July.
In Cobisa you can try migas (fried breadcrumbs), rice with hare and tasty game dishes.
