Consuegra
Come discover Consuegra: a marvellous scenic viewpoint facing La Mancha's horizons. Its 11 most typical windmills of La Mancha along with La Muela Castle are a must-see in your visit to Castilla-La Mancha.
You can find Consuegra in the southeast of the province of Toledo, near the boundary with the neighbouring province of Ciudad Real, between the natural regions of La Mancha and the Toledo Mountains.

To visit Consuegra is to visit a town that clearly shows traditions of La Mancha.
Its perfectly preserved windmills and fiestas such as the Rosa del Azafrán in November and Medieval Consuegra in August, are testimony to a village that takes the trouble to continue being just that, conserving its medieval past and centuries-old customs. Its monumental heritage, with plazas, churches and shrines, adorns its tranquil streets and livens up a stroll through the town. No walk around Consuegra would be complete without a visit to the Cerro Calderico (Little Cauldron Hill), perfectly visible from afar, with its windmills and medieval castle.
Consuegra originated from the Roman town of Consaburum and, since Roman times, has been an important strategic enclave, particularly in the Middle Ages, as well as an important area and dominion. In the present day, it continues to be an important town with a large number of inhabitants and an economic centre, along with other local towns.
