Esquivias
Esquivias brings us closer to the world of Miguel de Cervantes. Discovering its streets with whitewashed houses and visiting the museum of the House of Cervantes is like travelling through time to the era of our great writer.

Location
Esquivias is located between the A-42 Motorway between Madrid and Toledo, beside Illescas and the A-4 between Madrid and Andalusia, by Seseña, and this makes access to the village very easy.
- How to get there
- Road transport
A stroll through Esquivias should also include, in addition to the Cervantes House Museum, the Monument to Don Quixote and Cervantes, the House of Catalina, the Torrecilla (small tower), the House of the Ávalos, the Parochial Church, the Hermitage of Saint Roch, the Hermitage of Saint Barbara, the Pósito, the Fountain dedicated to Charles V and his justice monolith. All of the above are part of the heritage Esquivias will proudly show you. You are invited, of course.
- Special trips in Esquivias
- You cannot leave Esquivias without visiting the House of Cervantes. Illescas is nearby and here you can see the Virgen de la Caridad Sanctuary, with five unique paintings by El Greco. A short distance away, you will find the Carranque Archaeology Park, an attractive destination where the Materno Roman Villa is located, with its surprising Roman mosaiques from the period of Emperor Theodosius the Great. In addition, section 9 of the Don Quixote Route weaves its way from Esquivias via Yeles, to Illescas and Ugena to finish in Carranque. Would you like to experience this route?
