Guadamur
Guadamur is located in the province of Toledo, a mere 13 kilometres from the capital, along the road to the Montes de Toledo. Its municipal district was the location of the Discovery, between 1858 and 1861, of the Treasure of Guarrazar, the hallmark of Visigoth goldwork and jewellery. Within the town, and visible several kilometres before entering the town, there is a fabulous, picturesque Castle-Palace from the 15th century. But there are other surprises in Guadamur...

Very close to the castle we can see the Hermitage of Nuestra Señora de la Natividad (15th century), in the Mudejar style, inside which there is a Byzantine style painting of Saint Anne and the Virgin Mary as a child (she is the patron saint of the town), and a reproduction of the votive crowns of the Treasure of Guarrazar, made by a local artist.
At the Plaza de Recesvinto we can see the Picota or Roll and the Parish Church of Santa María Magdalena, from the 16th century, with restored sections from the 19th and 20th centuries.
