Lagartera is a place that those looking for rest and relaxation, good food and handicrafts cannot miss.
Here we can enjoy beautiful nature sites, in the midst of the countryside of the county of Oropesa and the county called Campo Arañuelo. In addition, beautiful embroidery work can be purchased here. This delicate handicraft work has been taught for centuries, passed down the generations from mothers to daughters.
The Corpus Christi festival is closely related to its embroidery work. The festival is considered an event of Regional Tourist Interest and, each year, there is a solemn procession where the village's women dressed with their unique ”lagarteranas” local costumes accompany the Sacred Effigy.
The Marcial Moreno Municipal Museum is a homage to this local artist born in 1911 and, as a whole, to the traditions of this village that awaits you.
