Discovering Villafranca is finding a charming village from La Mancha.
Here we find the La Asunción Parochial Church, whose origins can be traced to the 13th century, the Ermitas de los Santos Viejos (Old Saints’ Hermitage), the San Antón Hermitage, the surprising Santo Cristo de Santa Ana Hermitage; and the Palomar de Pintado History Interpretation Centre.
The lagoons are equally astonishing, they are: La Grande (The Big One), La Chica (The Small One) and the Casa de la Dehesilla (House of the Grazing Lands), and they comprise this marchland whose environmental conditions make it unique in its biodiversity, full of water birds.
